Umpiring

Green Shirt Program

Our annual Green Shirt Program consists of approximately 15 weeks of off and on court training. We seek expressions of interest in February and expect all participants to:

  • have played two years of full rules;
  • commit to all training sessions (usually 4-5.30pm on Monday or Tuesday);
  • have an excellent attitude; and
  • pay approximately $100 (to cover shirt, whistle, rule book and online course).
Other Umpires

We ask ALL our umpires to complete the Rules of Netball Theory Examination via mynetball each year. The current cost if $10.48. Umpires should also hold the Foundation Umpire Course (also available online – mynetball).

Umpires are required to wear a white skirt / skorts with a white shirt. Shirts are available from the office. Whistles and Rule Books are also available.

If you are a player and umpire then you are not required to register with Netball WA separately. If you only umpire then you are required to affiliate by registering with Busselton Netball Association. There is no cost for you to register.

C Badge – Testing
We continue to provide feedback and monitor all umpires to ensure readiness for testing.
